“My old housemates would cut food directly on the marble countertop of the kitchen island and leave the residue there, despite the fact that we each had two cabinets worth of our own kitchen tools, including cutting boards. They also never washed their dishes to the point that their side of the two-basin sink had cobwebs between their dirty pans and plates.”
“Just imagine an inch worth of rotten avocado, lemon juice, and various herbs caked on a countertop, which they’d simply put fresh produce on top of to prep and scrape off into their plates or pans. It was horrifying! Ironically, they thought I was gross for prepping my own food on the dining room table with my cutting boards, even though they eat there.”
