Spotify Reveals Most Streamed Songs, Artists, Albums In Its History: EXCLUSIVE

April 23, 2006, may not jump out as an important day in history, but it marked a shift in how millions of people consumed audio.

Fast forward to April 23, 2026: It’s the 20th anniversary of the day Spotify launched. To honor the milestone, the streaming service revealed for the first time the most streamed artists, songs, albums, podcasts and audiobooks in its history.

“It’s a definitive look at what the world has actually listened to since Spotify launched,” the company said in a statement.

“Drawn from years of listening across hundreds of millions of fans, these lists capture the music and stories that didn’t just break through, but stayed, becoming part of everyday life around the world,” the streamer added.
