Why Did Alan Ritchson Go Reacher Mode on His Neighbor?

We like when Alan Ritchson, who plays Jack Reacher on Reacher, goes “Reacher mode” on an episode of Reacher, but seeing him do it IRL is another thing. On March 22, Ritchson allegedly got into an argument with one of his neighbors in Tennessee over how fast he was going down the street on his motorcycle. Ritchson’s neighbor Ronnie Taylor claims he told the actor to slow down while biking in a residential area and the situation spiraled out of control. Taylor confessed to having pushed Ritchson, who more than pushed Taylor right back. In a video of the event, Ritchson can be seen standing over a bent-over Taylor. Taylor later posted photos of his banged-up face and reported the incident to the police, who are still investigating what occurred.

Though Ritchson’s team did not respond to a request for comment, insiders told “Page Six” that the actor didn’t start the incident and was pushed off his bike by an aggressive neighbor. Ritchson himself posted a Napoleon quote on Instagram that reads, “Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake.” “Who said it: Reacher or Napoleon?” would be a good quiz. Not for nothing — no one in this altercation is wearing a helmet on their bike! Everyone should be protecting their skulls 200 percent more in this situation and ideally also not punching each other. Hopefully Ritchson and his neighbor can resolve this conflict (season two of Neighbors, anyone?) and determine an acceptable speed at which one can ride a motorcycle down a residential street.
