The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is getting an official spinoff set in Orange County. Powering through a glitching teleprompter, the SLOMW stars introduced their OC conterparts. Two years after the original series taught us what soft swinging was, a new MomTok group will be bringing their online drama to Hulu sometime in 2026. Similar to the original show, set in Utah, the spinoff will follow a group of influencer friends who have ties to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, otherwise known as the Mormon Church, as they try to figure out how to balance their unique religious and cultural beliefs with their modern online identity. But this time, they’re close to the ocean, and the traffic from the 5 to the 55 to the 405 is gnarly. At least they can take a trip to Disneyland.
As for who will be the lucky influencers trading in drive-through Swig drinks for matcha lattes on the beach, we have some OG YouTubers like Aspyn Ovard and Avery Woods making the transition to reality TV. Joining them are Salomé Andrea, McCall DaPron (who’s Mayci Neeley’s sister), Chandler Higginson, Ashleigh Pease, and Madison Bontempo. Podcaster Bobbi Althoff is also joining the cast, so fingers crossed Drake will be watching. “I think there’s room for everybody to pop in and out,” Rob Mills, veteran ABC exec, told Vulture. “We have Macy’s sister on there, so obviously there’s no world where Macy is not going to be making appearances. It’s her family. And I think there’s room for the OC cast to go to Utah.” So expect some “cross-pollination” between states and influencer groups.
If you’re wondering what kind of drama the new cast could possibly get into, we already have a nurse turned social-media millionaire, a momager to two child stars, and one cast member in a throuple with another woman. Who says the drama has to stay in Utah?
