Kids take to the scrap-metal motorcycle in front of Motorkat like it’s a climbing gym, but longtime residents might recognize the sculpture as something more: a tribute to the good old days. Throughout the ’90s, a man who went by J. Catman whipped through the streets of Takoma Park on a Suzuki 500 with his pet cat, her little ears tucked into a custom helmet, paws planted on a patch of rug for traction.
