Khloé Kardashian says she regrets doing Lamar Odom’s Netflix documentary Untold: The Death and Life of Lamar Odom. Odom has objected to some of the claims Kardashian made in the film, including that his father wanted her taken off life support and that she was instrumental in his recovery. (He instead credits God). On her podcast, Khloé in Wonder Land, she said she only did the doc “as a favor,” and objects to how Odom is talking about her now in his press cycle. Kardashian says she agreed to participate because Netflix said “they can’t finish it without me. And I didn’t want to do that to Lamar. So, I was like, Okay, he deserves this.” Now Odom is doing interviews with outlets like The Today Show, saying their reunion was “awkward.” and that “It wasn’t really good for me.”
“I think what’s pissing me off is, we did this, all good. I was done with this,” Kardashian continued. “I’m like, I’m never going to do another Lamar thing again, because I’m all good. But now Lamar is doing press annoyed with me. Claiming or insinuating that I’m a liar, all these things, discrediting me, saying that I wasn’t the one that helped him.” In the documentary, Kardashian says Odom’s father, Joe Odom, wanted to take his son off life support. “Joe just said, ‘Don’t put him on life support, turn those machines off,’ ” Karadshian says in the documentary. “And I remember walking in around that time, and I kid you not, it was a scene out of a movie. And I was like, ‘Sorry, Joe. I’m still his wife. What do you need?’” She says Joe left the hospital in exchange for “a pair of Nikes and $100 and a hotel room for the night.” Odom disputes this. “I was knocked out and asleep at that time, but if you know Joe Odom, I don’t think that’s something that would ever come out of his mouth,” he said on Today. “I just can’t see him ever, ever doing that.”
Kardashian believes Odom and his team were behind the questions asked during filming, and so the content of what she said in the doc shouldn’t come as a surprise. “All I did was tell the story that I was asked by you to tell. But now, to play in my face and now to act like I didn’t do any of the things I did and insinuate I’m a liar is crazy,” she said. “I feel played.”
