A lot of people watched the season three premiere of Euphoria on Sunday, but how many people almost threw up when they saw the drug mule scene? The world may never know, but we do know that Euphoria had millions of viewers after a four-year break between seasons. HBO confirmed that 8.5 million U.S. viewers watched the show in the first three days; it also outperformed the season two premiere by 44%, which drew about 5.9 million viewers during the same three-day window. It’s also the top global title for the network, but it’s unclear how many viewers the show had internationally.
The premiere episode had plenty to tease for the upcoming season, like Cassie and Nate’s wedding and Maddy’s career as an Only Fans manager, and with the hype only growing, it’s clear people missed Euphoria. Even if the first episode had everyone gagging (literally.)
