Barbra Streisand Sings, Rachel McAdams and More

Billy Crystal, Barbra Streisand and more stars paid an emotional tribute to the Hollywood legends and beloved screen stars — including Rob Reiner, Diane Keaton, Catherine O’Hara and Robert Redford — who died in the last year during a powerful “In Memoriam” segment at the 2026 Oscars.

The segment kicked off with a tribute to late director Reiner helmed by his friend Billy Crystal, who invited his “When Harry Met Sally” co-star Meg Ryan and multiple other stars of Reiner’s films, including Demi Moore, Kathy Bates, Mandy Patinkin, to stand alongside him onstage.

Next, Rachel McAdams appeared to salute her “The Family Stone” co-star Diane Keaton and other women in film who died last year, including Diane Ladd and Catherine O’Hara.

McAdams tearfully spoke of Keaton, who won an Oscar for her role in “Annie Hall,” being “luminous” on screen and “indelible in life,” honoring her “absolute singularity” as an actor, a person and a mother, calling Keaton ““a legend with no end.”

“She wore so many hats — literally and figuratively,” McAdams quipped.

Streisand then emerged in a surprise appearance to honor Redford, a longtime friend and her co-star in the 1973 romantic drama “The Way We Were.”

Streisand called Redford a “brilliant, subtle actor” and recalled how the two enjoyed “playing off each other” while making the film.

She also referred to Redford as an “intellectual cowboy” for his activism and for creating Sundance Institute to support independent filmmakers.

Streisand concluded by performing a snippet from the song from “The Way We Were.”
