Kentucky Basketball has one backcourt option arriving for a visit, while another is planning to make his way to Lexington.

First off, Matt Jones reports that Furman transfer Alex Wilkins is arriving for his previously reported visit to Lexington.

The 6-5, 175-pound combo guard averaged 17.8 points, 4.7 assists, and 2.0 rebounds per game this past season as a true freshman for the Paladins while shooting 46% from the field and 32.8% on 3-pointers (5.7 attempts per game). He primarily played the point last season, but he appears open to playing more at shooting guard for his next team. He’s currently ranked 41st overall in the transfer portal by 247 Sports.

Elsewhere, Kentucky is also set to host Hofstra transfer Cruz Davis for a visit, according to Joe Tipton. Davis is currently on a visit to Texas Tech while also planning to see South Carolina and Grand Canyon.

Davis began his career at Iona under Rick Pitino, followed him to St. John’s for one season, then entered the portal again before landing at Hofstra. He only played in four games with the Red Storm before missing the rest of that season due to injury, earning him a medical redshirt that gives him one more season of eligibility that Kentucky is vying for. He’s currently ranked 28th overall at 247 Sports.

The 6-3, 170-pound Davis has extensive college experience at both the point and shooting guard positions. He mostly played point this season after primarily working at shooting guard in the 2024-25 season.

That’s important, as Kentucky just took a commitment from Washington point guard Zoom Diallo. Perhaps Cruz is open to coming to Lexington as someone who will play on and off the ball next season.
