While March is heating up on HBO Max with several noteworthy new shows and movies, it’s also time to say goodbye to everything leaving the platform this month. Though most of the titles leaving are movies, there are some documentaries and shows in there that you’ll definitely want to see.
HBO Max is clearing out a ton of old black-and-white movies, so if you’ve ever wanted to catch early classics like Jezebel, Mildred Pierce, Pride and Prejudice, The Red Badge of Courage, and more, you have until the end of the month to do so. The platform is ushering out a slew of oldies from as early as 1937 through the 1950s. Also clearing out are popular films, like The Perks of Being a Wallflower, The Whale, Maggie, and Bronson, and if you haven’t seen those, I recommend moving those to the top of your watchlist before they disappear at midnight on March 31.
As far as TV shows, the HBO Original Series States of Grace, or Mujer de Fases, is leaving March 27, as are various seasons and episodes of the Science Channel’s NASA’s Unexplained Files and How the Universe Works, and all of HGTV’s Property Brothers: Buying & Selling.
Just like last month, the streamer is again clearing out more movies than TV shows, so if I were you, that’s where I’d set my sights. Once you’ve had the opportunity to check out the titles you don’t want to miss out, shift your gears and take a look at everything coming to HBO Max in March.

What else to watch on HBO Max
With so many movies and shows leaving this month, it’s hard to believe HBO Max is still stacked on titles to watch, but it is. Once you’ve seen what you want before it leaves, hop over to the platform’s Collections category, which contains so much more than just a random collection of content. It’s a rabbit hole of entertaining experiences and insider information that you can’t get anywhere else but on HBO Max. Oh, and given that it’s Oscar season, you’ll definitely want to dive into the Awards & Acclaim Collection. You’ll be glad you did!
