Lo Bosworth Natale shot to stardom more than 20 years ago as a cast member on “Laguna Beach,” but the reality star-turned-entrepreneur wasn’t able to join her former cast members in person for “The Reunion: Laguna Beach.”
“I was very pregnant when they shot the reunion,” Bosworth Natale, who welcomed their first child, a daughter named Nelle, with husband Dom Natale in January, revealed during an April 10 visit to TODAY.
“Laguna Beach,” which debuted on MTV in 2004, introduced viewers to to a group of real-life high school students in Laguna Beach, California.
For the show’s reunion, which premiered April 10 on Roku, Bosworth Natale met up with former cast member Lauren Conrad to shoot scenes inside the offices of Bosworth Natale’s women’s wellness company, Love Wellness.

Bosworth Natale also joined Conrad, Stephen Colletti, Kristin Cavallari and other cast members over video to reminisce about their teenage dramas, which included no shortage of platonic dustups and romances.
“I think everybody was very nervous, actually, to get together but it turned out to be very healing,” said Bosworth Natale. “Everyone keeps saying, oh, we feel so good after doing the reunion.”
“It was actually really great. I hadn’t seen a lot of the people in many, many years,” she added.
The reunion was especially meaningful for Bosworth Natale, who missed her “real” high school reunion because she was at home doing “an IVF round.”
“So, it was a true reunion for me to be able to get together with everybody,” she noted.
During her visit to TODAY, Bosworth Natale also recounted how she and Conrad initially caught the attention of the series’ producers, who were touring their high school’s area in search of potential cast members.
She and Conrad, she recalled, were wearing “matching Juicy tracks suits” and sporting similar “crazy blond hair.”
“Lauren and I were actually ditching class and we had to walk past the (administration) office to get to our car to go to wherever it was that we were going,” she said.
“I accidentally set off my car alarm in front of the office as the producers were walking up the street,” she said, laughing.
“It just was fate, I suppose,” she added.
Being a star on “Laguna Beach” turned out to be a “life-changing’ experience, she said.
“So many of us have had such success as a result of the show with different businesses and amazing families,” she said. “It’s just very heartwarming for me to go back and see the reunion.”
“It’s a beautiful time capsule for everybody,” she added.
Welcoming her first child earlier this year so “fundamentally” changed Bosworth Natale, she decided to launch her own motherhood podcast “Tell Me I’m a Good Mom.”
“Moms are tough and moms are great and moms deserve their own stage to be applauded and that’s what I’m doing with the new podcast,” she said.
Bosworth Natale announced last month on Instagram that she didn’t attend the “Laguna Beach” reunion in person because she’d become a new mom.
“I didn’t go!!!!,” she wrote. “But not bc I didn’t want to — I did! I live in NYC and I just had a babbbyyyy and I have to have a fragment of placenta removed in a few days. I wore my black and white outfit at home yesterday in solidarity lol.”
