Chelsea’s doing well, lately. Chelsea Handler gave fans their first look at her hot new partner in an Instagram post on Monday about their travels together. The post included images of Handler with a lanky, sandy-haired man, including posed pictures together and selfies. “Swung by Istanbul after Finland to check out what goes down during Ramadan,” she wrote in the caption. “What a city. If I retained 50% of what I learned about the Byzantine, Ottoman, and Arabian Empires, I am much more knowledgeable than when I left.” Handler has talked about the man in the past, but she’s never revealed his name, and this is the first time she’s shown what he looks like. “He’s not a real cowboy,” she told the Las Vegas Review-Journal last week, “but I call him Cowboy.”
The two met when Handler was playing blackjack but didn’t have any money on her. “I sit down next to a guy,” she told Andy Cohen on Sirius XM Radio Andy earlier this year. “He’s got a big cowboy hat on, and he’s got thousands of dollars of chips. I was like, ‘Hey, I need to borrow a couple thousand dollars, sir.’” He gave her the money, she won it back, and they flirted, exchanging numbers. The next day, he texted her, “You seem like a great adventure and I’m in the mood for some adventure in my life,” Handler said. She then sent him a link to a trip she was about to take to Antarctica. “He wrote back, ‘I’ll see you in Antarctica,’” Handler revealed. “And he came to Antarctica.” The two have continued to take trips together, it appears. After her breakup with Jo Koy over what she called his “outdated, old-fashioned” views of what a girlfriend should do, hopefully she’s found a modern man.
