Shortly after Savannah Guthrie made her return to TodayTMZ received another ransom note claiming that they know who kidnapped her mother, Nancy Guthrie. “The person who has been incessantly contacting us… we got another letter today,” Harvey Levin explained. “An email saying, ‘I know where her body is and who the kidnapper is,’ give me half a Bitcoin, and I’ll tell you.” TMZ reported all of the communication from this person to the FBI. “You have to assume from law enforcement that they believe that this person is not legit, otherwise they would’ve advised Savannah to pay the money,” Charles Latibeaudiere added. The person who sent the note has been contacting TMZ for over two months, since Nancy went missing in late January. They sent a second note today, writing they previously saw Nancy alive in Sonora, Mexico, but they are not claiming that she is alive.

Savannah did not mention any new details of the case during Today but she did thank her fans for their support. She wore a yellow dress, as yellow symbolizes hope for a missing person, and hugged her supporters, who also wore yellow with hopes of bringing Nancy home. “Some beautiful signs out there,” she said of the fans outside of 30 Rock. “I’m excited to see them and give them all a hug, and really feeling the love so much.”
