The Pussycat Dolls are back with a brand new song and a reunion tour, but a familiar message.
“It is incredible to have the opportunity to perform these songs in 2026. Women in this world need a space to feel free, to feel strong, to feel like they can own their space,” Kimberly Wyatt tells TODAY.com. “And to be able to bring that to the stage and create an opportunity for everybody that comes to the show to be free with us is just amazing.”
In 2019, the Pussycat Dolls, a girl band that rose to fame in the 2000s with hits like “Don’t Cha” and “When I Grow Up,” attempted a reunion in 2019, having disbanded back in 2010.
Nicole Scherzinger, Carmit Bachar, Ashley Roberts, Jessica Sutta and Kimberly Wyatt reunited for a performance during the finale of “The X Factor: Celebrity.” They released a new song, “React,” featuring their signature dance pop girl band sound, and announced plans for a reunion tour, which was meant to start in April 2020. The COVID-19 pandemic and a legal dispute between Scherzinger and band founder Robin Antin effectively canceled those plans.
Fast forward to March 12, 2026, and the trio of Scherzinger, Roberts and Wyatt announced the release of their new track, “Club Song,” and an upcoming 53-date reunion tour called the “PCD Forever Tour.”
Previewing the tour, which is scheduled to kick off June 5 in Palm Desert, California, Wyatt says the trio is excited to bring the individual experiences they’ve had to the stage.
“To bring that into the Pussycat Dolls and see what it looks like in 2026, it feels really progressive, and what that will feel like with the music and the choreography and sort of the story of the Pussycat Dolls on tour is going to be phenomenal,” Wyatt says.
The tour is also an opportunity to “reintroduce ourselves to this younger generation,” Roberts says.
“What’s exciting is that it’s nostalgic,” she says. “We’ve got our fans that have grown up with us and know our songs, and then they’re maybe bringing their kiddos to the concert this time.”
“Also, I mean, I go on TikTok, and our songs are still trending, and kids are doing different combinations and choreography to it,” she adds.
But while younger generations may know the music, they might not know PCD.
“You always say, ‘They gonna learn today,’” Scherzinger says.
“And also we’re going to get them excited because we’re going to throw down,” she adds.
“And stretch before we throw down,” Roberts chimes in.
What unites their songs, including “Club Song,” are themes of female independence, friendship and confidence. Wyatt says she believes the Pussycat Dolls can teach the next generation “the power of self.”
“It lives in the Pussycat Dolls’ music, creating that space, like ‘Club Song’ says, so you can just go out there and feel it is just everything,” Wyatt adds.
As for any plans to release more songs?
“We’re always working on music,” Scherzinger says. “But right now, we’re really excited. First of all, ‘React’ didn’t have its moment, so we’re excited. I don’t know, is there going to be water? Are there going to be chairs?
“We’re really excited about ‘Club Song,’” she adds. “We’re super proud of that. It’s such a different industry now, and when we’ve got other songs, well, you just gotta pay attention, because we’re full of surprises.”
