I guess this is what they mean when they say LDS is a faith of continuing revelation. Trey Parker, Matt Stone, and Robert Lopez have been reworking The Book of Mormon for 2026. That includes stuff like making sure the current head of the Church of Latter Day Saints gets a shoutout in “I Believe,” but it also means updating who’s in hell. Because lemme tell ya, there are new sinners inducted every day. For those who attended Thursday night’s Broadway performance, they got to find out — shock of all shocks — Jeffrey Epstein is in Spooky Mormon Hell. Epstein has been added to “Spooky Mormon Hell Dream” in place of Jeffrey Dahmer, a clean Jeff-for-Jeff switcheroo. “You guys were the first to see the Epstein joke tonight,” Parker said, per Theaterly. “We spent three months on the rewrite, and it was finally here tonight.”

The Book of Mormon’s 15th anniversary celebrations are underway. Last week on The Late Show Parker, Stone, and Lopez announced “Magical Mormon Week” coming in June. Original cast members like Andrew Rannells will be swapping in for the current cast. But you’ll never know which Broadway star you’ll get. You just have to have faith.
