Two old favorites are returning to Genoa City starting April 6.

Shemar Moore and Viviva A. Fox will return to CBS’ The Young and the Restless for a story arc that will leave “lasting implications” for the residents of Genoa City. Moore and Fox will reprise their roles of Malcolm Winters and Dr. Stephanie Simmons, respectively.

The actors teased their big comeback via social media. “We’re young, restless and reunited,” said Moore.

Moore, who recently wrapped production on S.W.A.T. Exiles, played Malcolm Winters on Y&R from 1994 to 2005. He returned for special appearances in 2014, 2019 and 2023. His last appearance was part of the show’s 50th anniversary, in which he paid tribute to the late Kristoff St. John.

Fox, who made her daytime debut on the groundbreaking daytime drama Generations, played Dr. Stephanie Simmons from 1994 to 1995. It is her first time returning to Y&R since 1995. She worked opposite St. John.

The Young and the Restless is produced by Bell Dramatic Serial Company in association with Sony Pictures Television. The CBS sudser also recently announced a crossover with Beyond the Gates, which will start airing in June.

The Young and the Restless airs weekdays at 12:30 p.m. ET and 11:30 a.m. PT on CBS and streams on Paramount+.
