‘Nobody Wants This’ Wrote Timothy Simons’ Bleached Hair Into Season 3

The upcoming season of Nobody Wants This includes a bit more art imitating life after Timothy Simons‘ recent hair experiment.

While teasing Season 3 of the Netflix show, the actor revealed that the show’s writers opted to include his platinum blond hair as a plot point for his character Sasha after he “dyed it for fun” ahead of the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards.

“All the writers saw it that night and wrote it into the show,” he told People. “We’re shooting right now, so there’s no way to hide it. They didn’t tell me to wear a hat.”

Simons added of his new ‘do, “Honestly, I love it. I would let it grow all the way out, and it gave me a good excuse to keep it going.”

With Sasha and Esther’s (Jackie Tohn) marriage at a crossroads after she told him in the Season 2 finale that she wants to separate in order to find herself, the bleach job seems like an appropriate move for a newly single middle-aged man.

After Nobody Wants This began production on Season 3 last month in Los Angeles, the show’s creator Erin Foster has joined that cast, along with new additions Sarah Silverman, Andrew Rannells, Keyla Monterroso Mejia, Avan Jogia, Poorna Jagannathan, Sadie Sandler, Stephanie Koenig and Steven Weber.
