Nebraska will also play a match at DePaul on Friday, Sept. 4, at the Wintrust Arena in Chicago. This event will mark the first time that Wirgley has hosted a volleyball event. It has previously hosted Big Ten football games.

Cubs President of Business Operations Crane Kenney called the event a historic moment for the famed venue.

“This is a historic moment for the Chicago Cubs, Big Ten and the SEC that has been months in the making. We’re thrilled to welcome these incredible schools and student-athletes to the first-ever collegiate volleyball game at Wrigley Field.”

Both matches can be seen on FOX, with the first at 6 p.m. CT, followed by the second at 8 p.m. CT.
