Someone better be recording on their damn phones because the craziest drama with the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives cast keeps cooking. Miranda Hope seemingly confirmed the rumor that the newly single Jessi Draper kissed her ex-husband, Chase McWhorter, at a party over the weekend. Miranda shared a photo of a flower delivery on March 26 with a note that read, “I completely understand you being upset with me but wanted to send you a little something to let you know I’m thinking about you and I am so, so sorry. Jessi.” Another friend of Jessi’s, Kate Racker, who dated Chase, commented on a TikTok that Jessi tried to send her flowers, but they didn’t make it through the gate.
Miranda later posted a video captioned “GRWM while I process my friend group being a waiting room for my ex-husband,” referencing the swinging scandal involving Taylor Frankie Paul and Chase going on a date with Miranda’s friend Shinia, who was featured in the fourth season. Mormon Wives cast member Layla Taylor also dated Chase in the past, but it was before she and Miranda became friends. Most of the cast commented in support of Miranda, including Mikayla Matthews calling this “The week straight from hell” and Jen Affleck calling for Miranda to become The Bachelorette.
She shared a statement with ET, confirming that Chase told her that they had kissed. “I knew there had been communication between Chase and Jessi but not to what extent,” she explained. “Chase was upfront and told me that they were talking and that they kissed. Jessi reached out only after she knew Chase had told me something was going on with them.”
As for how DadTok feels about this, Jessi’s ex, Jordan Ngatikaura, commented on another post, because for this cast, their primary form of communication is social media comments. He wrote, “Looks like she can’t even be faithful or loyal even in a friendship… too bad.” Of course, even when the women are divided, there’s nothing they dislike more than DadTok. Layla replied, “This situation is crazy but Jordan needs to shut the hell up and look for jobs lmao.”
