'Last One Laughing' Podcast To Accompany Prime Video UK Series 'Last One Laughing: The Last Last Podcast' Audible

EXCLUSIVE: It’s time for the podcast community to contain their laughter – or maybe not.

With Season 2 of Prime Video UK original LOL: Last One Laughing dropping on Thursday (March 19), Audible is launching a companion audio show, The Last Laugh: The Last One Laughing Podcast.

Roisin Conaty, who plays presenter Jimmy Carr’s sidekick in the TV show, is making her podcast debut as the host. She will dissect all the action, provide backstage insight and tell behind-the-scenes stories from the new season as she’s joined by comedians from the first season and other celebrity super-fan guests.

Guests from the new season will include Diane Morgan, Amy Gledhill, Maisie Adam, David Mitchell and Gbemisola Ikumelo, along with Season 1’s Joe Wilkinson, Harriet Kemsley, Lou Sanders and Sara Pascoe, and fans such as actress Natalie Cassidy, author Emily Dean and stand-up Faitha El-Ghorri.

Best friends Gledhill and Kemsley will share their favourite moments from both seasons, Wilkinson and Cassidy will react to the Season 2 cast and reminisce on Wilkinson’s best bits from Season 1, and Morgan and Dean will team for a conversation about the show.

The podcast will follow the release cadence of the show, with three episodes releasing on March 19, another two on March 26 and the finale on April 2. It will be offered through Audible and other podcast platforms, with the TV shows co-producers, Banijay companies Zeppotron and Initial, make the podcast for Audible Originals.

“It’s been a real treat for me getting to do my first podcast,” said Conaty. “The recording experience was an absolute joy, and I absolutely loved chatting about Last One Laughing and all the behind-the-scenes shenanigans with some of the funniest people around.”

There have been numerous remakes of Last One Laughing, which began life as Japanese show Documental. Amazon acquired international rights to the format and has adapted it in numerous territories around the world, though no U.S. yet exists.

Last One Laughing sees ten comics use every ounce of their comedic talent to try and break their opponents by making them laugh, while stopping themselves from as much as breaking a smile.
