The Traitors is at it again. Gabby Windey says Peacock is tardy on the prize money, and Rob Rausch agrees. On The Kelly Clarkson Show, Rausch said he still hasn’t gotten his prize money. (Lending credence to the theory Maura’s Birkin was a brand deal.) “I relate to this so hardcore,” she said, revealing American Idol never gave her the promised $1 million or brand new car. And she needed that car! “You probably weren’t alive when I was on American Idol, but I was literally on the show, and they were like, ‘Oh you win a million dollars or whatever, da da da.’ No, you didn’t. They lied.”
Clarkson went on to explain that the American Idol fine print indicated she was really getting “a million dollars worth of investment in you.” But what about the car? Fox can’t put a car of investment into the Clarkson enterprise. The gag of it all was that Clay Aiken got 2 cars the next season. “I was like, ‘What the fuck?’” she said. “I remember Clay telling me that the second season. He was like, ‘Yeah, they gave my mom one.’ I was like, ‘I’m going to actually kick your ass right now.’”
