Jenna Bush Hager’s Signature Dance Move, ‘The Bucking Bronco,’ Leaves Olivia Munn Speechless

Olivia Munn isn’t quite sure what to make of one of Jenna Bush Hager’s signature dance moves.

While appearing on TODAY with Jenna & Sheinelle on March 31, the actor weighed in on some hot topics with Jenna and her guest co-host, Willie Geist.

The trio discussed a new debate that’s pitting millennials versus Gen Z, which suggests that members of the younger generation aren’t exactly enthused when they hit the dance floor, while millennials give it their all.

“I mean, I loved going to dances when I was younger and just getting out there and dancing,” Munn said.

The actor went on to say she likes to request Dr. Dre’s song “Nuthin’ but a ‘G’ Thang” at weddings and exhibited her dance moves.

“He’s seen one of my signature moves, which I didn’t think I was gonna bring out,” Jenna said before revealing its name: the Bucking Bronco.

Munn didn’t seem to be familiar with the move, so Jenna explained it.

“I ride somebody across the floor,” Jenna said.

“You’re lying,” Munn said in disbelief.

“She does,” Willie confirmed.

Munn was curious to know what the move looked like but clarified that she wasn’t going to make Jenna do it on air.

“It’s not Willie, but it was our friend Emily. We’ll go ahead and drop her name. She won’t mind. And I was on top of her,” Jenna began.

The move is performed by one person crawling on the floor on all fours as Jenna sits on their back and swings her arm in the air in a circle — much like a cowboy might on a wild horse.

“It’s not really a dance move so much,” Willie said.

Munn was flabbergasted.

“Jenna, I’ve never been speechless with you,” she said.

“I don’t know what to say,” Munn added.

“I’m not sure what you should say,” Jenna joked.

This is hardly the first time Jenna has mentioned her signature move. In 2018, she displayed it on air while chatting with Carson Daly.

“It’s not appropriate, I don’t think for television. Well, actually, come here, come on Donna. It’s appropriate for Donna,” she said as her colleague Donna Farizan appeared.

That time Jenna played the role of the “horse” and asked Donna to sit on her back as she exhibited the move.

“Oh my God, this is like a Tuesday gone wild,” Donna said.

“That’s my dance move I do at weddings,” Jenna said.

“What’s happening here?” Carson joked.
