INDOX Boards Wyatt Maw’s ‘Ashland’ As Executive Producer

INDOX Boards Wyatt Maw’s ‘Ashland’ As Executive Producer Ashland INDOX

EXCLUSIVE: Luke Brawley’s nonfiction agency INDOX has boarded Ashland, the debut feature documentary by filmmaker Wyatt Maw, as Executive Producer.

Currently in post-production, Ashland is a feature-length documentary based around the sacred plains of Eastern Montana. The region is best known as the visual backdrop of the American West, with its vast horizons, horse culture, and small-town rituals.

Shot on 16mm over eight years, the film is said to weave together the lives of young people, members of the Crow and Northern Cheyenne communities, horse whisperers, and elders, forming a portrait of place, identity, and continuity.

INDOX will work closely with the filmmaking team to shape the film’s festival strategy and broader industry positioning and support its introduction to international audiences. Ashland is the first project INDOX has joined as an EP.

“I’m so thrilled to collaborate with INDOX on the next stage of this film’s journey,” Maw said in a statement.

“Luke immediately understood the vision for this film and how it could resonate with audiences worldwide. His belief in the project and desire to advocate for it was so inspiring to me. Ashland represents the culmination of a long journey exploring the magic of the American West and the myths that reside therein. I’m incredibly excited by this opportunity and feel like I couldn’t be in better hands as we help bring the film to audiences this year.”

Kyle Martin (Look Into My Eyes) is also an exec producer on Ashland.

Brawley added: “From the very first conversations, it was clear that Wyatt has created something incredibly special with Ashland. It’s a film that feels deeply connected to place and community, but also expansive in its cinematic language — the kind of work that stays with you. For INDOX, stepping in as Executive Producer felt like a natural extension of what we already do: championing films we truly believe in. Ashland aligns completely with our ethos, and we’re excited to support it in reaching the audiences it deserves.”
