Chelsea appear to have won the battle of wills between club and player, if the latest words from Enzo Fernández’s agent, Javier Pastore are any indication. Pastore came out fighting in the wake of Enzo’s suspension by the club for the comments made during the international break, but his most recent comments are far more diplomatic.
In fact, according to Pastore, it’s all good in the neighborhood now (though Enzo’s still suspended for this weekend’s game, as of this writing).
“We’re on the same page with Chelsea. We made peace yesterday and the day before between Chelsea and the player. There were never really any problems. We cleared the air.”
“What happened, happened. We explained to the player that, even though he hadn’t done anything wrong, he shouldn’t have said that. He’s only 25. He’s still young, he still has things to learn. That said, this may not be a long-lasting peace. Feels like this saga is only just beginning.
