One of the coolest parts of Bayern Munich’s 5-0 victory over St. Pauli was seeing yet another youngster make his debut with the senior team. In this case, it was midfielder Bara Sapoko Ndiaye, who only joined the squad in the winter.
Ndiaye only played 12 minutes, but made a big impression on the coaching staff.

According to a report from Abendzeitung’s Patrick Strasser (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Bayern Munich is contemplating a permanent acquisition of Sapoko Ndiaye, with the intent to loan him out for game minutes next season:
Bayern are leaning towards signing Bara Sapoko Ndiaye permanently in the summer. The Senegalese midfielder could then go out on loan to get regular match practice.
The reaction to Ndiaye’s debut was a massive hit at the Gambino Stars African Academy as shown in this video distributed by Bayern Munich’s club X account (@FCBayern):
Finally, FCBayern.com dropped this nugget, which puts Ndiaye in an elite class as it pertains to speed:
On the field, Ndiaye brings exactly what’s needed in modern attacking play: versatility, agility, the ability to create opportunities in tight spaces – and exceptional pace to boot. At the FC Bayern Campus, he broke the speed record there with a measured speed of over 36 kilometers per hour. “We like his personality,” said coach Vincent Kompany, emphasising that the teenager has settled into his new environment quickly. “He’s shown that he’s one of the talents we have in Bayern’s youth system. Things are going well for him.”
That’s it, we need a race — Alphonso Davies (22.69 mph/36.53 km/h) vs. Sapoko Ndiaye!
That is some world class speed…some would say Olympic-level quickness. have you ever heard about Lukas Klostermann…
